Vermont 101

I’ve had the opportunity to travel to Vermont about a dozen times or so, each of them came with new experiences and places which have become second homes.

The first must-do when you’re in Vermont is head to Burlington and enjoy dinner at the Shanty for the best clam chowder you’ll ever have and fresh lobster; but I must admit, the key lime pie is also delicious.

This trip did include my first visit to The Inn at Burklyn. I highly recommend a visit if your in the area and if you can’t stay for a night (I recommend at-least two), settle for a dinner which will be among your favorites during your visit. The owners work along-side in the trenches with the crew in the kitchen, receptionist, restraint, and keeping things clean; heck Jim will even get a fire started to enjoy at the camp sight.

While I was there I did some drone footage. Some pictures of the Inn. There is extensive history with this Inn, there is a brief history on their website.

One of the best places to visit while in the New England area, is in Lake Memphremagog. Its about a 50 minutes drive from St. Johnsbury and The Eastside has the best chicken n’ biscuits you’ll find anywhere. They used to serve cheese and crackers prior to covid, but it’s been taken off their menu—they cited cost. (I encouraged them to have on the menu as a paid appetizer).
